General Membership Meeting
General membership meetings are held twice a year, mid-year at the end of March, and at the end of September. All members are welcome to attend, and every effort is made to insure an informative meeting. Club business is discussed, and general golf information is shared. At the end of the year, officers for the upcoming year are elected and awards are given out for the “Man of the Year” and the “Claude Waymire” recipient.
Officers. The Mission Trails Men’s Club is led by 10 officers as specified under our bylaws adopted in February 1966.
President. The President co-ordinates club business with Mission Trails Management, supports and advises all committees, conducts all board and general meetings, and maintains all trophies and awards.
Vice President. The Vice President supports the president in co-ordination of club business, participates with and advises on social functions.
Secretary. The Secretary handles club correspondence and publishes the monthly newsletter.
Treasurer. The Treasurer handles all club funds and distributions, prepares financial reports for the board and membership review, and provides prize fund distribution.
Directors. Five Directors are elected.
Handicap. The Handicap Chairman leads a committee dedicated to insure all members comply with SCGA/USGA Handicap Policies.
Membership. The Membership Chairman provides for the welcoming of all new members and provides each with club information.
Tournament. The Tournament Chairman schedules, monitors, and directs the success of each tournament.
Rules and Greens. The Rules and Greens Chairman provides for the compliance of the members to SCGA/USGA rules and interpretations during tournaments and assist in causing the golf course to be as fair and competitive in its layout as possible.
Social. To schedule all non-golfing events for the benefit of the members in good standing and their spouses, significant others, etc.
Past President. The past President provides continuity to each Board and assist in Club Social Committee functions.
